New from GambettiBarre is the Windfoil boom. Designed for spraying in public places such as golf courses and parks, the totally enclosed boom prevents spray drift in breezy conditions.

The boom is split into 3 sections, all of which are carried on caster wheels positioned in front of the boom. This allows all sections to be fully floating to closely follow ground contours. The boom is fabricated in tough, yet light, tubular steel and the covers are made from virtually unbreakable polyethylene. The outer sections have break-backs to protect the boom should it hit an obstruction.

A flexible skirt is fitted to the bottom of the covers to prevent drift from escaping even on the roughest fairway. The boom can be supplied with either manual or hydraulic folding and can be fitted to small self-propelled sprayers or tractor mounted sprayers. It is light enough to fit onto compact tractors and comes complete with individual flow meters for each section to warn of nozzle blockage. It is available in 4.5 & 5.5 metre widths
