The Jacto Uniport is a simple, mechanically driven, high clearance sprayer with an extremely competitive and attractive price tag. We are the UKs sole importer for the Uniport which is manufactured by Jacto in Brazil. The company produces around 1500 self-propelled machines every year and is probably the biggest manufacturer of sprayers in the world.

The Uniport has a massive 1.35m clearance - more than sufficient for practically all the crops grown in the UK. High working speeds, ease of operation and minimal maintenance ensures long working days and high workrates for the best possible cost-benefit ratio.

The ergonomic cab is quiet, comfortable and well laid out with all the usual refinements for a modern self-propelled sprayer. Driving is a pleasure with the machine being, perhaps surprisingly, nimble, very stable and much more maneuverable than conventional hydrostatic machines.

Powered by a 130hp Perkins engine coupled to a 5 speed, 40kph Eaton gearbox the drive is transmitted by propshaft to a rear differential which in turn drives the rear drop legs. A reduction drive by chain to the rear wheels ensures that torque & stress in the transmission system is kept to a minimum for ultimate reliability. The flexibility of the engine and transmission gives virtually an infinite choice of working speeds in any conditions.

Braking is by hydraulic actuated discs on all four wheels backed up by a mechanical disc parking brake on the transmission.

Power to the ground goes through either the standard 12.4x36 wheels or through a choice of Michelin XM 108 floatation tyres for winter use. Road speed is a respectable 40kph

The high working speeds and smooth ride are made possible by the all-round independent suspension system. Coil springs & parallel linkages on the front and coil springs & trailing arms on the back ensure good boom stability and operator comfort whilst removing shock loads all round.

Maintenance is minimal and could not be much easier with good access to all maintenance points. Servicing costs are very low for a self-propelled sprayer due to the simplicity of the power and transmission systems. Daily running costs are also minimal with the Uniport having very frugal fuel consumption due to the efficient power transmission system and the machines relatively light weight.

A feature rarely seen on UK sprayers are crop dividers which part the crop in front of the wheels to keep crop damage to a minimum. They are easily removed when changing wheels or for when working in crops where they are not required.

A high output electrical system and a dozen working lamps means you can make the day as long as you want it to be!

Variable geometry

A choice of spray booms can be fitted - up to 21m in steel and 24m in aluminium (as used on the Agribuggy). The steel boom features a unique suspension system on each main arm. A parallel linkage is connected to an accumulator to damp out any shock loads for boom longevity and maximum stability. The boom also features independent geometry for the ultimate in contour following and this can be "hooked up" to Jacto's own automatic boom levelling system if you want life in the cab to be really easy.

The boom levelling system consists of six radar sensors along the length of the boom which continually sense the boom's height above the ground. The cab mounted controller continually adjusts the boom height, tilt and variable geometry to keep all parts of the boom at the correct spraying height above the ground leaving the operator free to concentrate on driving the machine and monitoring the spray application system.

Sprayer functions are are controlled by the Jacto "Master Flow" controller which monitors and controls the spray application rate relative to forward speed. A tank volume sensor triggers an audible alarm and interacts with the controller to avoid pressure fluctuations when the tank is nearly empty.

Foam markers

A clean water tank flushing system (250 litres) enables the operator to flush the tank and booms out in the field before the pesticide has time to dry in the sprayer pipework and on the insides of the tank - a most important feature to avoid pesticide contamination of subsequent spraying operations and possible crop damage.

Piston pump
Chemical is carried in a 2500 litre grp tank and is pumped around the system via a 190 lpm high pressure piston pump. The pump, manufactured by Jacto, is robust and easy to service and is fitted with ceramic liners for longevity and efficiency.

Chemical Inductor

Pesticides are transferred into the sprayer by a side mounted induction hopper. Fitted on a parallel linkage it drops down to a safe working height for filling but stows away to clear the crop whilst working. It incorporates both hopper and container flushing systems.

Quadjet nozzle bodies

Spray lines are stainless steel and are fitted with 'Quadjet' nozzle bodies and a choice of nozzles to suit your applications including "Umbrella" type nozzles for liquid fertiliser application.

Mechanical agitation
Agitation is via a hydraulically driven mechanical agitator in the bottom of the tank. The speed of the agitator can be controlled to give exactly the right amount of agitation without danger of foaming in the tank as can happen with conventional agitation systems.
