The Company


Founded in 1948 by Japanese businessman Shunji Mishimura, Jacto has grown from a humble workshop manufacturing small dusters and knapsack sprayers to what is now one of the worlds largest and most modern manufacturers of agricultural spraying equipment. The company employs in excess of 1,700 people and as well as having an 80% market share in their home country of Brazil they are market leaders in south and central America and are recognised in 80 countries spread over 5 continents. Their export market is now in excess of £40m.

 

The manufacturing facilty boasts state of the art production lines with quality control built in at strategic points, high-tech painting lines and In-house laser-cut componentry. Development of new equipment is carried out in a centre housing over 100 development engineers and draughtsmen using the latest computer aided technology. Amongst many of their acheivements Jacto developed the worlds first mechanical coffee harvester which was launched in 1983.

The factory now extends to over 150,000 square metres and includes a training centre for employees, distributers and operators. Jacto's hospitality towards visitors is world renowned. Visits for UK customers are arranged periodically to see the factory and include a visit to one of the worlds most exciting cities - Rio De Janeiro.

Jacto manufacture all their own spraying components including pumps, tanks, plastics and electronics. They manufacture a huge range of spraying equipment from knapsacks and mounted sprayers to 3500 litre self-propelled units.
