...on design

renowned for its low ground pressure capability the new Agribuggy boasts a new cab and new 2,000 litre GRP tank.
Tony Frazier, our design consultant, has been working closely with CabTech Developments and the new ergonomic cab has been designed and constructed with the demands of the operator as the primary concern . It is now mounted further forward to give the operator a more commanding view into the crop. Electrically operated steps and a larger door gives easier access to a spacious cab with an all-flat floor and impressive all-round visibility.

No compromise...

Developed over many years the new Agribuggy 2000 TDi sets new standards in sophistication and design - nothing has been compromised in the pursuit of improved efficiency, safety and productivity. Manufactured to the most demanding standards the Agribuggy is not only an aesthetically pleasing machine, strong and robust in looks, but is also the lightest in its class and easily surpasses the power/weight ratio principles of its predecessors.

...on power

Moving the cab forward, which allows for the flat floor of the cab, has significantly improved access to the engine so that those day-to-day maintenance checks are easier and quicker to accomplish.
Powering the new Agribuggy is the reliable 111hp LandRover 300 series TDi turbo/intercooled diesel engine. Power is directed through a ZF torque converter and four speed auto gearbox.

Power passes from the auto unit through a LandRover dual range transfer box into a central, lockable differential and is distributed to front and rear Melo heavy duty axles. Completing the driveline are epicyclic planetary hubs which reduce torque in the drive shafts by over 60%.
At all four corners disc brakes are now hydraulically assisted to give more effective anchoring and leaf/coil assisted suspension ensuring a smooth ride every time.
Steering is all hydrostatic with the option of four wheel steering - This has four main settings for roadwork, 2 wheel steer, four wheel steer and crab steer and in addition, for extreme situations, independent rear axle steer. An auto switch links sprayer controls and rear axle steering for negotiating headlands.

The new GRP 2,000 litre tank gives the machine clean, modern design lines, dipping away to the rear to allow the operator a clear view through the opening rear window/escape hatch. It is profiled to give better weight distribution, front to rear, when fully laden and is fitted with a tank wash system with separate 200 litre clean water tank, a locker for protective clothing and a 35 litre chemical induction hopper.

...on comfort

The comfort of the operator has been paramount in the detail of the cab design. A full suspension Kab Seat and fully adjustable steering column, both up and down and back and forth, together with the adjustable control console mean that driver comfort is guaranteed. The in-cab computer is the RDS Pro Series 8000 which is GPS compatible and fully meets the exacting standards required by today's precision farming methods.

The sprayer boom is either aluminium or steel and available in widths up to 28 metres. An Imovilli four cylinder pump is fitted which is capable of delivering up to 274 litres per minute. The liquid feeds through Safi rotary valves and finally through Teejet quick-acting motorised ball valves. An optional spray-line purge system is available so that the spray-line is constantly fully charged and consequently no meterage is lost before full flow is achieved.

The Agribuggy doesn't compromise!
